| 中国妇女发展基金会（以下简称"中国妇基会"）成立于1988年12月，是经中国人民银行批准、民政部注册的全国性非营利性社会公益组织，是独立的社团法人。十几年来，中国妇基会为全面提高妇女素质，维护妇女合法权益，促进妇女和妇女事业发展，向国内外企业事业单位、社会组织和个人募集资金和物资，在妇女教育、培训、扶贫和救灾等多项公益活动中，充分发挥自身组织特殊的社会职能，办了许多实事、好事，受到了社会各界的广泛赞誉。
China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) was established in December 1988, and is a nation-wide non-profit social welfare organization registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs and approved by People's Bank of China. China Women's Development Foundation,as an independent corporate legal representative, been dedicated to improving women's overall quality, maintaining women's legal rights, promoting the development of women and women undertakings, and collecting funds and materials from the domestic and international enterprises and public sector undertakings, social organizations and individuals in over a decade. The foundation actively participates in many social welfare activities including women education, training, povertyalle viation and disaster rescue, and has brought its special social function into full play. The foundation has done countless good and practical jobs that are widely recognized by all the corners in society. 1992年至1997年，时任人大常委会副委员长、全国妇联主席,中国妇基会会长的陈慕华同志，领导中国妇基会为兴建中华女子学院共募集资金1.5亿多元人民币，建成了全国第一所现代化的、专门培养女性人才的大学--中华女子学院。

| 自1996年始，为响应国家"八七"扶贫攻坚计划，中国妇基会配合全国妇联"巾帼扶贫行动"，在边远和贫困地区的贫困妇女中开展小额循环借款入户扶贫活动。
香港各界庆祝回归委员会捐赠设立的"香港回归扶贫基金"，于1998年9月启动。截止到2004年初，香港回归扶贫、香港手拉手扶贫、理事扶贫项目已在全国14个省、85个县实施，共循环投入扶贫基金3070万元，扶助贫困户2.5万多个，帮带5万多个贫困户，扶贫资金入户率、反还率均达100％。 |

Since 1996, in echoing to the state "Eight-Seven" poverty alleviation reinforcement plan and"Women Poverty Action" of the All-China Women's Federation, the foundation developed the poverty alleviation activities of small-scale circulation loas to the houschold among the needed women in the remate and poor areas. "Hong Kong Return Poverty Alleviation Fou-ndation," sponsored by the Hong Kong All-Circles Return Celebration Committee, kicked off its operation in September 1998. Up to the early 2004, the projects of Hong Kong Return Poverty Alleviation, Hong Kong Hand-in-hand Poverty Alleviation and Council Poverty Alleviation had implemented and circulatively invested poverty alleviation fund 30.70 million ynan in 85 counties of 14 provinces, and totally 200 thousand people and 25 thousand needed families had received help or shaken off the poverty.  |

For continuously expanding the overseas funds collection channels and propaganda activities, China Women's Development Foundation actively cooperates with international friendship organizations and individuals.China Women Development Foundation cooperated with the related units and established the exchange training service institution, which provides knowledge training to the laid-off women. In additi on, China Women's Development Foundation frequently holds human talent exchange fair, and actively offers assistance and help to the laid-off women in reemplogment. 中国妇基会多次给甘肃、宁夏、青海、江西、四川等灾区、老区捐款捐物；为革命老区妇女进行妇科病防治捐款；与电视台联合举办文艺专场演出等，广泛开展各种公益活动和资助活动。 China Women's Development Foundation frequently donates money and materials to the disaster-hit areas and old liberated areas in Gansu,Ni ngxia, Qinghai, Jiangxi and Sichuan donates for the prevention of women's cliseases in old revolutionary bases holds the special cultural performance in cooperation with TV stations; and extensively develops all kinds of social welfare and financial assistance activities. |

| 2000年，在陈慕华会长关于"创立具有妇女特色的社会公益品牌"思想的指导下，中国妇基会成功创立了"大地之爱"社会公益品牌。围绕"大地之爱"主题，中国妇基会圆满完成首届中国十大杰出母亲评选、《母亲之歌》征集活动。2000年12月22日，由全国妇联、北京市政府、中央电视台主办，中国妇基会成功承办了"情系西部·共享母爱"世纪爱心行动大型义演，共募集善款1.16亿元，全部用于设立"大地之爱·母亲水窖"项目专项基金。
截止2003年底，"大地之爱·母亲水窖"项目共投入专项资金1.1亿元，地方政府投入配套资金与专项资金的比例为1：1。修建的近9万眼水窖和1070处小型供水工程，遍布西部12个省、区、市及部分革命老区，工程优良率达到98%，使近90万各族百姓结束了四处找水的历史。为了向社会各界反馈项目实施成果，加强国际合作，2003年2月，中国妇基会与有关单位共同举办"大地之爱·母亲水窖"表彰大会暨国际论坛，这次大会取得了丰硕的成果。 在实施"大地之爱·母亲水窖"项目的过程中，中国妇基会始终把确保安全饮水作为项目实施的工作重点之一，为了切实改善农民群众的饮水质量，中国妇女发展基金会率先尝试，与有关专业部门合作共同研制开发了适合农村家庭使用的水窖净水器。首批试点的4100台家庭水窖净水器已发往内蒙、广西、四川、贵州、云南、陕西、甘肃、青海、宁夏等9个省（区、市），预计能使近2万人受益。 |

In 2000, under the guidance of President Chen Muhua's thought "establishing social welfare brands with women's features'', China Women's Development Foundation successfully founded "Land of Love" social welfare brand. With "Land of Love" as the theme, China Women's Development Foundation completed the selection of the first "China Top 10 Eminent Mothers" and collection activies of"Mother's Songs" On December 22, 2000, the large-scale benefit performance "Love Tied with the West, Co-sharing the Mother's Love'' was successfully held by China Women's Development Foundation, with assistance from the All-China Women's Federation, Beijing Municipal Government and CCTV. The performance collected 116 million yuan of charity fund, which was fully invested in establishment of special fund of "Land of Love, Water Cellar for Mother" project. Up to the end of 2003, "Land of Love, Water Cellar for Mothers" project totally invested special fund of 110 million yuan .the 900，000 water Cellars and 1070 small-scale water supply projects can be found all over the 159 counties in 12 provinces ,autonomous regions and Cities. The excellent rate of projects was 98 percent and 900 thousand people from in different nationalities shook off the situation of seeking water everywhere; In February 2003,CWDF sponsored the international forum on "Land of Love, Water Cellar for Mother" 2002年初，在成功实施"母亲水窖"工程的基础上，配套推出"母亲健康快车"项目，为西部贫困地区母亲送健康理念、送健康知识、送健康服务，提高妇女保健水平。2003年7月首批200辆"母亲健康快车"在天安门广场隆重发车至陕西、贵州两省。
为了进一步凸现"大地之爱"这一公益品牌，2002年，中国妇基会与中央电视台、潇湘电影制片厂联合摄制了电视连续剧《盖世太保枪口下的中国女人》；与宁夏电影制片厂联合摄制了电视连续剧《撑起生命的蓝天》。此外，设立了"家长教育基金"，策划并实施了"蓝天爱心计划"，"西部母亲健康援助计划"等项社会公益活动。 |

For further promoting the public welfar;brand"Land of Love",in 2002, China Women's Development Foundation cooperated with CCTV and Xiaoxiang Film Studio in filming the full-length TV series Chinese Woman Under the Gunpoint of Gestapo;established the "Parents Education Foundation",planed and implemented social welfare activities including the "Blue sky Love Plan"and "Health Care Aid Plan for Mothers in the West";and sets up "Foundation of the Top 10 Eminent Motners for Alleviating the Martyrs in Public Security Forces".
此外，中国妇基会还设立了"下岗女工再就业基金"、"妇女儿童保健基金"、"女大学生助学奖学基金"、"玫琳凯妇女创业基金"、"妇女理论研究基金" 、"中国十大杰出母亲抚慰公安英烈基金"。等专项基金。目前，这些专项基金均在良好运作之中。 China Women's Development Foundation also established "Re-employment Foundation for the Laid-off Women", "Women and Children Health CareFoundation", "Women College Student Undertaking Foundation", "Menlinkai Women Undertaking Foundation", and "Women Theoretic Research Foundation" Currently these foundations are under sound operations. 中国妇基会办事机构设在全国妇联办公大楼。全国31个省、区、市妇联均有专人配合中国妇基会开展工作。第四届理事会将继续深入打造"大地之爱·母亲水窖"品牌工程，使其更具生命力；扩大募资渠道，争取国内外友好团体和爱心人士更多的关注和支持；实现基本金增值；不断加强自身建设，增强整体运作功能，努力把中国妇基会建设成符合市场经济体制要求的社会公益组织。 On January 31t, 2002, The new Council of China Women's Development Foundation, with comrade Chen Muhua as the president, was established. The executive organ of China Women's Development Foundation was set up inside the All-China Women's Federation Building,which is responsible for the daily administration work.Women's federations in 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions have designated some members to assist the work of China Women Development Foundation.The Fourth Council will spare no effort in making "Land of love,Water Cellar fir Mother "brand project;expanding the collection channels and seeking more support from and international friendly organizations and individuals; achieving the value-increasing on the basic capital;continuously improving itself and enhancing its comprehensive functional capabilities,and building the China Women's Development Foundation as into a social welfare organization meeting,the requirement of the market economy |

From 1992 to 1997, under the leadership of Chen Muhua,Vice Chairverson of Me NPC Sxanding Commitlee, President of the All-China Women's Federation and President of China Women's Development Foundation, China Women's Development Foundation collected 150 million yuan RMB and completed the special fund collection task for the establishment of the first modern university dedicated to cultivating the women talents in China--China Women's College.
